The area of Plitvice is declared a national park.  It is one of the most beautiful natural wonders of Europe. It is a forest paysage, cut in with many lakes set in a peculiar order. There are 16 fabulous lakes and lochs of crystal blue-green colour.

They are being filled by many rivers and streams, and the lakes are linked by foamy cascades and waterfalls. Throughout the milenia, the water of these lakes had gnawed, crumpled and melted the rocks, creating the lakes of an exquisite beauty.
